Overview


Comprising the Upper Reservoir (constructed in 1931) and the Lower Reservoir (constructed in 1932), Aberdeen Reservoir was built to augment Pok Fu Lam Reservoir and solve the problem of water shortages in the western part of Hong Kong Island. It became the fourth and last reservoir ever built on Hong Kong Island after Pok Fu Lam Reservoir, the Tai Tam Group of Reservoirs and Wong Nai Chung Reservoir.

4 Historic Structures of Aberdeen Reservoir were declared monuments in 2009.

Beautiful Aberdeen Reservoir
假日輕鬆一遊香港仔水塘
港島又一個好輕鬆郊遊地點，環境優美一起看法定古蹟的宏偉水壩😍 呢度假日好適合一家大細嚟到香港下水塘燒嘢食和效遊。我哋今次帶着🐶🐶哥基豆豆和豆苗揀咗行上下水塘，簡單路線沿路平坦，輕輕鬆鬆可以與毛孩親親大自然。
路程由香港仔下水塘泵房 （紅磚屋）> 下水塘水壩> 下水塘化學原料廠> 香港仔上水塘石橋和水霸> 上水塘水掣房 （好靚嘅花崗石)> 最後沿灣仔峽道回家。呢個地方路線就好適合哥基行喇～

小狗輕鬆郊遊趣✨
我哋為咗唔行樓梯，淨係由香港仔燒烤場出發到上水塘就原路折返，來回只需一個小時，沿途都係石屎路，非常輕鬆👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Nice and chill!
Because it is a reservoir, the roads are nice and easy. Friendly for short-leg dogs like me!
It is located near Aberdeen, so it's easy to get to by taxi 🚕
Overall, an excellent place to have a chill walk!
