They ignored my dying puppy
The negligence of the Ark Veterinary Hospital allowed my puppy to die. (The Ark Veterinary Hospital is part of the Pet Space Veterinary Group.) My girlfriend was alone with our puppy when, around midnight, he grew uncomfortable and vomited. Because they claim to be open 24 hours and are nearby, she called the Ark to bring him in, but they said they were too busy. A few hours later, his breathing became laboured, so she called several more times, but they never answered. When our puppy's condition worsened, she carried him there, but no one came to the door. Then, a few minutes after our puppy died on their doorstep, they opened the door. They had been inside the whole time, with no other patients. They attempted to resuscitate our puppy, which obviously failed. My girlfriend had to pay for their services -- pay for them to not see patients, to not answer their phone, to not open their door -- and because she had run there in the middle of the night carrying our puppy, she did not have her wallet. She wasn’t even wearing shoes. She had brought only her phone, so that she could continue to try calling for help. They forced her to leave her phone there as collateral while she walked home barefoot to retrieve her wallet, in case she planned to abandon our puppy’s body with them. These people are lazy, negligent, and heartless. The Ark Veterinary Hospital (a part of the Pet Space Veterinary Group) should not be allowed to claim to be open 24 hours. They should not be allowed to work with animals at all. You should never give them your business, and more importantly, you should not trust them with the well-being of your pets.
